The result of meticulous selection of the Arabica varieties, this coffee has been grown since the seventeenth century on the western mountains of southern India in the mountainous region of Kodagu or Coorg, on the mountains of Tadiyendamol (1,745) metres, Pushpagiri (1,712) metres and Kodebetta (1,500) metres.It is a coffee that grows in the shade of the big Kapot trees, and is hand harvested by a small number of producers.
This variety strikes the palate with the dense mellowness of cocoa and the recollection of perfumes of the incense, Sandalwood, Indian spices and Pepper that are frequently cultivated alongside the coffee plantations.
