The cultivation of this coffee growing in India begun in the 17th century by a pilgrim who, returning from Mecca managed to bring with him SEVEN seeds of Arabica quality coffee.
This pilgrim’s name was Bababudan, and in the region of Chikmagalur, the mountainous area of Bababudangiri, he created the first coffee plantations of Indian Arabica, which were named after him, in which a truly exceptional coffee is produced: the Plantation Bababudan.
The coffee is grown at an altitude of around 1,400 meters above sea level, in what are authentic nature sanctuaries.
